Compassionate Care for Sick Pets

Small dog recovering from injury

Pets are experts at hiding any symptoms of discomfort or illness. At Fischer Veterinary Clinic, we offer diagnostic services and professional, compassionate treatment for sick pets.

Symptoms of Illnesses

Early intervention is key when it comes to treating diseases and illnesses in pets, so it’s important to seek treatment right away if your pet starts exhibiting any of the following behaviors on a regular basis:

  • Loss of appetite
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Coughing/sneezing
  • Increased thirst or urination
  • Soiling or urinating where they shouldn’t
  • Limping or lameness
  • Weight loss
  • Skin rashes
  • Bad breath or foul-smelling ears
  • Discharge from the eyes or nose
  • Wounds of unknown origin or wounds that aren’t healing
  • Sudden shifts in your pet's behavior
  • Lethargy, sleeping a lot more than usual

Diagnostics

We might suggest bloodwork, x-rays, or other laboratory tests to properly diagnose your pet’s condition. We will get you the results as quickly as we can so that we can create a treatment plan for your pet. We do have a full in-house pharmacy should your pet require any medications.

Home Care

Our goal is for your pet to recover as comfortably and as quickly as possible from his or her illness or injury. Your pet may require dietary changes, medications, or home modifications (such as moving the litter box) to help your pet achieve a positive outcome. We will fully discuss and explain all recommendations, and we are always here to answer any questions you might have about your pet’s treatment.

Please call us any time if you have question about your pet’s condition or to make an appointment.
